WizzAir is set to close its base at Václav Havel Airport Prague in mid-June and will cut back its routes to just three. This decision comes due to low demand.
WizzAir constantly reviews its routes and services to ensure they offer the best prices and top-notch service with one of the youngest fleets in Europe. After a thoughtful evaluation, the airline has decided to adjust its operations in the Czech Republic and shift capacity to other WizzAir hubs where demand is higher.
Currently, WizzAir has one aircraft stationed in Prague, providing flights to nine destinations: Kutaisi, Reykjavik, Tel Aviv, Eilat, Bari, Naples, Milan, Venice, and London. Starting June 14, they will only maintain routes to London, Bari, and Kutaisi, without changing the frequency of these flights.
Customers affected by these changes should get in touch with WizzAir for assistance. Additionally, WizzAir employees based in Prague will be offered positions at other locations, with support for relocation if needed.
