Ryanair announced on May 23 a new partnership with Air Europa that allows passengers to book Air Europa long-haul flights directly on the Ryanair website. Starting from the same day, travelers can browse and purchase Air Europa flights on 20 routes departing from Madrid to 16 countries across North, Central, and South America, including destinations like Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, and the United States.
Later this year, the second phase of this partnership will be launched, enabling Ryanair customers to connect to Air Europa’s long-haul flights through Madrid. Ryanair is also in ongoing discussions with several other long-haul airlines to explore potential feed and connecting flight partnerships.
Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Air Europa, which allows customers to conveniently book flights on these 20 long-haul routes from Madrid to major cities like Buenos Aires, Havana, and New York via the Ryanair website. With over 50 short-haul routes to and from Madrid, Ryanair now offers its customers the added benefit of booking Air Europa long-haul flights to a variety of exciting destinations. This collaboration marks the latest step in Ryanair’s mission to become the ‘Amazon of travel,’ as the company continues to talk with other long-haul airlines about similar partnerships. In 2018, Ryanair aims to provide its 130 million customers even more choices and a broader range of long-haul services.
