British Airways Modifies Boarding Process: Lowest Fare Passengers Now Board Last!

British Airways passengers who pay the lowest fares for European flights will be the last to board the plane. Starting on December 12, the airline will implement a “group boarding” system for all its flights.

When checking in, whether it’s online or at the airport, passengers will receive a group number between one and five. This number will be clearly shown on their boarding pass, whether it’s printed or on a mobile device. The lower the number, the sooner the passenger can board.

Passengers with mobility issues or those traveling with young children will still be allowed to board before others. Additionally, travelers with frequent-flyer status with BA’s Oneworld alliance partners will also receive priority boarding.
