British Airways has cancelled all flights from Heathrow and Gatwick today, Saturday, May 27, due to computer issues. This outage is affecting British Airways flights all over the world, causing delays and cancellations everywhere.
British Airways is doing everything they can to rebook customers who were supposed to fly today onto the next available flights over the rest of the weekend. For those who can’t be rebooked, a full refund will be provided.
The computer problems have also hit British Airways’ call centers and website, but the airline promises to update customers as soon as possible.
The airline is advising passengers with flights scheduled before 6 PM on Saturday, May 27, not to go to the airport today. If you have a flight after 6 PM, you should check the flight status before heading to the airport.
Heathrow Airport is working closely with British Airways to help passengers affected by the issue. They have extra customer service staff in the terminals to assist those already at the airport.
If your flight has been cancelled or delayed, you might be eligible for compensation.
