Flightstats has published their report on the most and least punctual airlines of 2017. The On-time Performance Service (OPS) awards are divided into three categories: International (Mainline and Network), Major (by region for Mainline and Network), and Low-Cost Carriers.
To be considered for an award, airlines must meet certain criteria. These include their total number of scheduled passenger flights per year, the geographical scope of their route network, and the availability of their flight status data to Flightstats. The methodology used is designed to be fair and reasonable, taking into account the airline’s size, network breadth, and route characteristics.
