Exciting Changes in WizzAir's Baggage Rules Effective from October 29!

Starting from October 29, 2017, WizzAir is updating its baggage policy. Here are the key changes you need to know, though you can always find more detailed information on the WizzAir website.

Wizz Air Hungary Ltd. is a Hungarian budget airline headquartered at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport in Budapest. The airline primarily utilizes secondary airports in various cities across Europe, Israel, and the United Arab Emirates. With its extensive fleet, WizzAir is the largest airline in Hungary, even though it is not the national carrier, and it currently operates in 35 countries. Its parent company, Wizz Air Holdings Plc, is registered in Jersey and is listed on the London Stock Exchange as part of the FTSE 250 Index.

Regarding hand luggage, starting October 29, you can bring a larger carry-on bag for free. However, WizzAir may still place your bag in the hold. If you purchase a WIZZ GO or WIZZ Plus ticket, or hold a Privilege Pass, WIZZ Priority is included, ensuring your hand luggage stays in the cabin. If not, we recommend buying WIZZ Priority to guarantee your bag will be in the cabin area.

For checked-in luggage, the weight limit for lighter bags will change from 23 KG to 20 KG after October 29. The heavier checked-in bag limit remains at 32 KG.

There’s no change to the Wizz Priority bag policy. You can still bring an extra bag by paying for the Wizz Priority service, and your hand luggage will be guaranteed to stay on board.
