Monarch Airlines has announced that it is stopping operations and going into administration immediately. This sudden shutdown affects 110,000 customers currently outside of the UK, and over 300,000 future bookings are now canceled. The UK government has requested the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to arrange more than 30 aircraft to bring stranded customers back to the UK.
If you are currently abroad and your return to the UK is scheduled on or before 15 October 2017, the CAA is arranging a new flight to bring you home at the end of your holiday. Further details are available on their website.
For those with return flights after 15 October 2017, please check the additional information section for guidance.
As of 2 October 2017, all future holidays and flights booked with Monarch Airlines are canceled. If you have a booking with Monarch, please do not go to any UK airport, as your flight will not be operating. More information can be found on the CAA website.
