The Booola Digital Journey Bulletin

Traveling was quite different a few decades ago. Back then, to get the latest information about your travel destination, you either needed a static travel guide or had to visit the nearest hostel and check their notice board for tips from fellow travelers.

In 2014, two travelers, Gilad and Koby, realized that not much had changed. The best way to find the latest information, like opportunities to travel together or local cooking classes, was still to visit hostels and look at their notice boards. However, with hundreds or even thousands of hostels in many destinations today, it’s easy to miss out on valuable information. For instance, while you might be in one hostel looking for a ride to your next stop, someone across town might be seeking people to share the cost of their ride.

That’s where the idea for a mobile app called Booola originated. Booola aims to be the digital notice board for every location imaginable. This way, you can relax in your hotel while still keeping up with the backpacker scene through the app. Currently available for iPhones, an Android version is set to be released soon.
